In the Middle of the Night...
I sit up suddenly in bed. Dad likes muggle things and I picked up on some of them. There are jokes that a light bulb will turn on above someone's head if they get an idea. It's odd, but if it did happen, I would be having that now.

I pick up my wand and use it to turn on the lights and I grab a piece of parchment and self inking quill. I have another idea. I know there are candies that result in a person sound like an animal or something else, like a train. Then there is also polyjuice potion.

What if someone to mix the two?

Grinning, use accio to bring me the potion book Fred and I created during our time at Hogwarts. We borrowed "Moste Potente Potions" and a number of books to create our own Potions book. It's better than the others we had at school.

I grab it from the air and I flip it open, going to the P section. Polyjuice potion. I read the ingredients. Lacewing flies stewed 21 days, leeches, powdered bicorn horn, knotgrass, fluxweed picked at full moon, shredded boomslang skin, a bit of who one wants to turn into.

Well, some of that could be pricey, but there are ways to deal with that.

Especially since a person is not changing appearance. Just their voice could change. Oh Merlin, the fun that could be had. I can think of at least fifty reasons to use it. I think about the howler that Ron received after he and Harry took the flying car and it had an ugly experience with the Whomping Willow. Ok, that gives me at least fifty one reasons.

I could make it last an hour or I could make another candy that would take take away the effects and give people their own voices back. Candies, no. Throat lozenges. Much better.

I continue to write, quill moving over the parchment as I come up with formulas. It takes testing and formulas, a few explosions and every now and then, a healing spell or two.

Glancing at the clock, I know I should be sleeping. I have a shop to run tomorrow. However, I like this idea too much to just roll over and go back to sleep.

Decision made, I throw back the covers. It's time to start inventing.
